This video shows simulation of the ARM Model
We create biomechanical models that integrate anatomical and physiological data. We develop simulations of surgical procedures to help design better clinical outcomes.
Our simulations suggest that the surgeon’s intraoperative choice of attachment length for a tendon transfer influences the arm position in which the transferred muscle is strongest.
FIGURE:Computer simulation results illustrating the elbow positions at which peak active muscle force occurs as a function of surgical attachment length and the patient’s wrist position during postoperative function.
